The History
Chris Johnson and Steve Giles make up Richmond Soul. They have been performing together non-stop since 2000 around the UK, Europe and Worldwide. With some impressive credits to their names, they have experienced the industry inside out and could be described as veterans despite their youthful appearance.
Aside from the extensive experience on stage, they have both spent many years studying and perfecting their voices with some of the worlds most respected singing teachers, using the worlds most advanced singing technique; Speech Level Singing – a technique used by many Grammy Award Winners including Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Luther Vandross. They are now both certified teachers of the technique and are coaching and developing voices in all genres across the country.
Richmond Soul are serious about the voice and technique which ensures the vocal element of their performance is always of the highest quality, but it’s the experiences through performing that has sculpted their uniquely engaging stage presence. Along with their playful banter and unwavering composure they will always remain the leaders in their field.
